Sam Tsangweni’s roadshow whizzes past town

Limpopo‘s athlete and hero, Sam Tsangweni, was welcomed by scores of people when he stopped by at Bela-Bela on his long walk from Pretoria to his home region of Nkowa-Nkowa.

Tsangweni is walking the long distance to raise awareness against women and children’s abuse.

He stopped over at Bela-Bela on Wednesday, 20 November.

He was welcomed by, among others, Mayor Jeremiah Ngoberni, local police commissioner, Colonel Lindie Marx, detectives’ commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Abel Phetla, senior personnel from the traffic department, and workers from SuperSpar.

Upwards of 100 ordinary people were in attendance, adding to Tsangweni’s million-dollar signature campaign, aimed at finding a place in the Guness Book of Records.

At Bela-Bela’s Waterfront Tsangweni and his entourage were taken to a restaurant for breakfast.

More signatures were collected at the local municipality offices, before the emntourage left for Modimolle at around 12 noon.
