As the SAB League teams are set to go for a break on Saturday, 9 December, it has become apparent that the league will go down to the wire this season.
Bela-Bela Pirates FC moved to the top after toppling Boys 2 Men FC from the summit of the standings.
The Bela-Bela lads collected maximum points, after walloping Maxoma FC of Roedtan 6-1 on Saturday, 18 November.
The Roedtan team was humiliated in front of its own home crowd in its own backyard.
While Bela-Bela Pirates FC leads the pack, Maxoma FC is sitting at the bottom of the 12-team Waterberg SAB Regional League (Stream A) log standings.
The Bela-Bela team will have to consolidate their top spot when they host Junior Stars FC of Mookgophong.
In Roedtan this weekend, Maxoma FC will welcome Modimolle Home Defenders FC.
Home Defenders FC will go into this match on a high, following a 1-0 home victory over Opleft FC.
The struggling Opleft FC will host Bussel FC this coming weekend.
The second-placed Boys 2 Men FC, will travel to Rapotokwane to do battle with the wounded Qualitho FC, the reigning league champions from last season.
Boys 2 Men FC played to 1-all draw with Modimolle Troublemakers FC, while Rapotokwane Qualitho FC are still licking their wounds following a 2-1 loss at the hands of third-placed Diesel N Dust FC.
Modimolle Celtic FC, who suffered a 2-1 loss to Junior Stars FC, will host Diesel ‘n Dust FC at the Ephraim Mogale Stadium.
All weekend matches were scheduled to be played on Saturday, 25 November.
