In the 21, 1 km half marathon the medalists were Piet Sekgadi, Makubu Pome, Thelma Modiba, Regina Makgata, Elizabeth Katjedi, Masego Tsele, Mokopi Kekana, Beshly Tebeila and Dineo Sebyetseba.
Pace-setter Lucas Seleka delivered a sub-five-hour bus (qualifying time), which helped more than 30 athletes qualify for the Comrades Marathon 2018.
Selepe, who was the first male athlete from his club to finish the race, shared his experience of the event with The BEAT.
“Credit must go to our coach (Ezekiel Moatshe) for the guidance and also believing in us. Our highlight of the event was when Senyatsi finished her debut 42,2km, not forgetting my partner Makubu who led the females in the 21,1 km event,” he said.
Selepe also praised Mongale who did his first 42,2km and Sekgadi who led the lads in the 21,1km.
