Mosesetjane All Stars, who hail from the remote rural area of Mosesetjane near Mokopane, have been playing extremely well in the league so far. They played twenty-six games and lost only two. They also drew only two of their games.
Due to their brilliant performance so far, Mosesetjane All Stars have collected an astonishing 65 points on the SAB League log.
The BEAT caught up with Mr John Molomo, director of the team, for an interview.
He had some interesting thoughts about this team’s performance.
“We are looking forward to win all our remaining four games so that we can go on to the play-offs for a promotion to the Vodacom League,” he said. “We take every game as if it is a final and we do not underestimate any other teams,” he explained.
Mosesetjane had now opened a massive gap in points between them and the second team on the log, Yster United FC. “We are going to focus all our effort on winning the remaining four games,” Molomo said.
Mosesetjane beat Trouble-makers 3-2 on Saturday and went on to win another three points in the process. They also scored two free goals in their walkover win against Domingo’s FC.
Their remaining games are against Barcelona FC, Zaba FC, Dynasty FC, and fellow Mokopane based team, Mokopane Stonebreakers FC, whom they are facing on Saturday, 7 April, at Mosese-tjane stadium.
Asked about development in their team, Molomo said that they look for players from development teams around the area. When they need a player from the developments, they provide all the players of the other team with full kits in exchange for the selected player.
In closing Molomo said that he needed all the Waterberg soccer fanatics to support Mosesetjane FC since they will be representing the whole of Waterberg when they go to play-offs.
