The three men who have been accused of murdering Cecil Peterson (83) and his wife Pattie (73) have been denied bail.
The ruling was finally made on Thursday, 2 November, after consecutive postponements in recent weeks.
The ruling made against Piet Mathebula, Mpho Nico Nkonyana and Tshepo Tebula’s was a direct sequel to the farm murders on the property situated between Modimolle and Bela-Bela.
According to court testimony from Investigating Officer Captain Jannie Schutte the threesome had no previous convictions, but pending charges ranging from car hijacking, burglary to drug-dealing.
The three men accused of the attack on the Petersons farm were tracked down via a stolen cellphone to the area of Kanana outside Hammanskraal.
They are expected to appear before the court again on Tuesday, 12 December, pending further investigations and a forensic report.
A fourth suspect was stil lat large.
