August month blew into the Waterberg with a number of road accidents.

That is the bad news.

The good news, ‘though, is that no serious injuries were reported.

According to the Waterberg’s Advanvanced Pramedics Assistance (APA) spokesman, Andy Gill, there were no serious injuries reported.

All the accidents took place on Friday, 4 August.

Gill reported that in Modimolle a light motor vehicle accident occurred outside the Modimolle Correctional Services Centre.

He said no injuries were reported, but those involved were treated for shock at the scene.

On the N1 highway near Kraanskop, a vehicle lost control due to a burst tyre,

Gill said the vehicle skidded off-road into an embankment, but the two occupants escaped with minor injuries.

At the Radium supermarket, eight people were treated with minor to moderate injuries after a collision had taken place between two vehicles.

Gill said the cause of the accident was currently under investigation.

In recent weeks a couple of serious crashes were reported in parts of the Waterberg, whereby three people died, and several others were hospitalised with various degrees of injuries.
