The Modimolle-based non-profit organisation, Paul Dave Foundation, will host a fun run on Saturday, 17 March at the Ephraim Mogale Stadium.
The event will serve as a fundraiser to support the foundation’s initiatives, which include among others, the provision of school uniforms for learners and mentorship programmes for high schools.
The fun run will be categorised into three events, namely 2,5km (R10 registration fee), 5km (R20) and 10km (R30).
The first 50 fun run participants to register would be offered free-of-charge branded T-shirts.
All participants who finish the race would receive medals.
Paul Dave Foundation CEO and founder Karabo Mokgosi said they planned that the event would also feature aerobics, soccer matches and indigenous games, as part of the activities for the day.
Mokgosi said the organisers were targeting around 150 participants, but indicated that they would accommodate beyond that number if need be.
The starting and finishing points of the fun run will be the local stadium, with the other activities also taking place during the course of the day.
