The Modimolle branch of the Divine Grace Ministry Church was scheduled to host an all-embracing gospel concert, whereby both locals and artists arriving from the surrounding areas were to take part on Saturday 3 March.

The gospel show was to be held at the Phagameng-based church at Modimolle’s sprawling township.

The respected Bishop Kenny Tshisevhe is the leader of the Divine Grace Ministry Church.

Modimolle-based artists, Harry K, John Mabusha and Tiisetso Motjetje, top the bill for the concert, which has lined up several other known and lesser-known performers from around the Waterberg.

Khomotso Koka of Mookgophong and the CODA in Worship Gospel Choir from Vosloosrus in Gauteng, were also expected to mesmerize local gospel lovers.

Pastor Harry Kekana, better known within the broader gospel circuit as Harry K, told The BEAT the purpose of the concert was to revive and heal the souls of people through gospel music.

He said it was planned the event start at midday and last untill late in the evening.

“Gospel music is something that speaks directly to the soul. We are hoping that people will come in their numbers and join us, as we preach the gospel through music,” he said.

Kekana said tickets to the event were available at the Divine Grace Ministry Church premises.
