The community of Mookgophong recently converged on the local community hall during the December holidays, to pray for both the locals and those who are far and wide.

The Heal Our Land worship experience was hosted by KK Productions, where members of the audience were also enthralled with musical performances.

The Mookgophong based events management company, KK Productions, is the brainchild of the local Khomotso Koka.

Koka told The BEAT that they felt there was a need for divine intervention in Mookgophong and surroundings, due to the high rate of, among other social ills, alcohol and drug abuse.

The prayer event also served to make a plea for divine intervention, following sporadic incidents of human trafficking cases across the country.

“We appreciate the support from the locals and also those who came from the surrounding areas. It is important for us to join hands in prayer, as these unfortunate incidents are affecting us all,” he said.

KK Productions in partnership with comedian Multi B’s Guess What Entertainment are currently working around the clock to prepare for this year’s Back to School Gospel event.

The event which was scheduled to be held at Mookgophong Primary School, would serve to collect and donate school uniforms to learners who are in need.

“It is important for us as people to always share the little that we have with those who are in need. When I was still at primary school, it pained me to see my friends (going about barefoot) while I was wearing shoes. I would take off my shoes and put them away so that we can be equal in everybody’s eyes. This is why we are now trying to close the gap,” Koka told The BEAT.
