Modimolle’s word artist, Evangelist Leslie Nkanyane, has unveiled the date for the launch of his motivational book titled “God has a purpose with your life”.

The twenty-six- year old Modimolle-based Victory and Salvation Ministry evangelist said the book would be officially unveiled on Saturday, 2 December, at a yet to be announced venue.

Nkanyane told The BEAT that he started writing from as early as 2008, when he published the Sepedi novel, “Batho re bolaiswa ke megabaru”, a title referring to general greed.

The young writer said his new work of non-fiction was aimed at encouraging both young and old to never give up in life.

“I have realised that most of the time we tend to give up easily in life, instead of remaining optimistic until such time that our purpose in life is achieved,” he said.

Apart from his love of writing, Nkanyane has a passion for cooking.

Nkanyane’s journey dates back to the days when he worked in homekeeping at a local hotel.

At the time the would-be chef started asking questions and learning how to experiment with the preparation of different dishes, with the assistance of the chefs.

“It all started when I was working as a cleaner at a local hotel. I got curious every time I saw chefs preparing meals, and that’s when I realised the kitchen was my passion,” Nkanyane told The BEAT.
