Multi-pronged investigations over the recent daring jail break at Bela-Bela police station continue.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Abel Phetla, said on Tuesday, 10 October, that while the three fugitives were still on the run, certain possibilities were being explored, such as internal dynamics.
While four of the suspects were still at large, Clifford Muntonhori (29), was re-arrested.
The police are still looking for Philani Sithole (30), Silence Dube (29), Thabang Dube (30) and Joshua Mogashoa.
The four made a daring escape from the Bela-Bela police cells on the night of Sunday, 10 September.
Referring to the recent breakthrough in the farm murder arrest of three suspects, Phetla said the police were still on a manhunt for an unnamed fourth suspect.
The three suspects were captured during a pre-dawn raid at a hideout in the Hammanskraal section of Kanana, on Friday, 9 September.
The suspects were expected to appear before the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court for a formal bail application on Friday, 13 October.
Phetla disclosed all the three suspects were subjected to an identity parade, held at the local police station on Tuesday, 3 October.
Police are on the manhunt for these three men and a fourth unidentified suspect.
