Bela-Bela Mayor has big plans

After little more than a month as the town’s first citizen, Bela-Bela Mayor Jeremia Ngobeni (34), made time in his schedule for an interview with reporters from The BEAT and The Post.


Indoor aerobics a weekly event

The indoor aerobics event that was held at the Bela-Bela Community Hall on Saturday, 17 September, will now be hosted weekly at various venues throughout town, according to the event organizer Mandla Maluleka.

Spar tops local league

With four matches played so far in the Bela-Bela Super Soccer League, Spar FC is topping the league with 11 points. Spar cannot relax yet, however, as Metro Hyperland is trailing them by only two points, with a score of nine. If they lose a game, Metro Hyperland will have the opportunity to reclaim the top spot.


Stakeholders attend crime imbizo

Boitumelo Sono (9) and Itumeleng Sedwana (9) recently competed in Circuit, District and Cluster competitions. Boitemelo came second in Circuit, second in district and third in cluster for English reading. Itumeleng came third at circuit, third in district and second in cluster for creative writing.
